Community members had the opportunity to continue to access a menu of programs and services throughout the grant cycle. The SLA Diabetes Outreach Program became vital since Diabetes was identified by the CDC and the New Jersey Health Department as one of the diseases which provided a greater exposure to COVID-19; furthermore, the same experts identified Latinos as a vulnerable and high-risk group. The organization worked on numerous education, health, and human services that were accessed by the community through this program at Save Latin America.
