Kips Bay has also successfully operated a digital arts studio. This allowed their teams to meet youth with the ability to create their own music, including making their own beats/backing tracks, writing their own lyrics, recording, and mixing their songs, and shooting music videos. This program has also allowed the youth to create podcast episodes, through which they have been able to discuss their lives and the world around them with their peers.
Funding was applied to various costs associated with our performing arts programming, as per our original application. Funding covered a portion of the salary of our Performing Arts Director, wages for our arts instructors, fringe and FICA costs, and various costumes and program supplies.
