This project involves providing community education about the role that a renovated Esplanade could play in improving the quality of life in East Harlem, working with other civic organizations, and helping to organize residential support for this initiative, especially the renovation of the 107th Street pier.
Began the early phases of selecting college students who reside in East Harlem as summer interns who would learn grassroots advocacy, help spread awareness, and drum local support from park-goers, local businesses, and other community organizations.
